ATTACK NA BATTACK (1996-1998)

A FunCore Hardcore Punk project, one of the countless HC projects in Pula in the 90s. Played some gigs and left a rehearsal demo recording.

METANOIA (2009-2012)

Metanoia is a very young Alternative Rock band at their first recordings. They actually exist 4 years now, but all they have by far is a demo recording and live shows.
Update 2020: nothing from them since 2012.

BLIND DATE (Rovinj) (1992-1994)

Blind Date was a Rock band from Rovinj, they existed just few years with peaking at an excellent performance at the first Art And Music festival in Pula 1993. The band was fronted by probably the most popular voice in Croatia, Alen Matosovic-Topssy. All they left is an album-lenght professionally recorded demo.

TUTANKHAMON SPACE MACHINE (2007-2013)

An intriguing band born from the ashes of Anansi Boys. Playing a kind of Alternative Blues, the band with the incoming of the new guitarist adds a pinch of Pop sound and releases the first album in 2010. Last year the second album hits the fans.
They like to point out that it is almost usual to hear them on stage yelling "..hey, wait, wasn`t three rounds then a solo??"
Update 2020: disbanded somewhere around 2013.

NULLA OSTA (2002-)

Hardcore Punk Band made of ex-TuttaForza and ex-Screaming Vagina members. This band is specific because of two basses and no guitars making the noise wall of sound. The two basses in the band was just casual, not intentional. Few years ago the band toured Brazil, besides shows all over Europe. Until now, the band have three releases.

TRIO PORKODIO (1992-2002)

A raw Hardcore Punk project/band with the frontman Lampa, started in the first half of the 90s, performed on a lot of gigs and recorded a demo, then suddenly split-up, as Lampa went to Amsterdam. In 2001, Lampa joined Jule from AntiOtpad and recorded another material, which was the band`s last effort.

IN MEMORIAM : SERGIO BLAZIC - DJOSER (1951-1987)

The unreplaceable frontman of the Hard Rock legends Atomsko Skloniste, started his carreer in the early 70s n bands "Hush" and "Boomerang" to become the focal point and unmistakeable voice of Atomsko Skloniste. By the end of the 70s, Djoser was diagnosed Hodgkins Lymphoma, with which he struggled for almost a decade.
Serdjo recorded 7 studio and 2 live albums with A.Skloniste (one studio record was released under the name Atomic Shelter). While the rest of the band prepared their second american album in Florida, Djoser died in the Pula main hospital on a cold Sunday night on January 18th 1987.

EAST RODEO (2002-2013)

East Rodeo is an extremely interesting band founded by ex-Dusty Miller brothers Alen and Nenad Sinkauz. By far released 3 albums, they combine a lot of musical expressions, from Hardcore Punk through Metal, Jazz, Fusion, Experimental and much more, and very often being involved in artistical performances. Working and playing mostly in Italy and Croatia.Succesfully recorded a CD with Marc Ribot, Greg Cohen and Warren Ellis. World class.
Update 2020: the band wasn`t active after the last album, so I suppose they don`t exist anymore since 2013. However, the brothers Sinkauz are hyperactive on other fields, especially in movie music,

STABILIZACIJA (Vodnjan) (1979-1984)

Stabilizacija was mixing heavily Ska into the New Wave of the moment. They had a good recording and as far as I know almost a record label contract, but split-up for good in 1984.

TRACELESS BANDS PART 1

In this post, I am posting pictures of bands that, except for maybe few pictures, left no other musical trace in history. I may be wrong of course, so if I ever receive some audio or video material from one of these bands, the band will be removed from this post, and will have its own post.
For the beginning, the following four bands:

70 KAPI (1980-1981)

DAMA (1983)

KAMILICA (1980-1981)

LEATHERFACE (1991-1992)

FILJI DI BRUNO ATOMICO (2003-2012)

A very funny Hardcore Punk band, building their image on the persona of Bruno Langer from Atomsko Skloniste. They are playing very funny covers of the mentioned band, plus more covers and own songs.
Update 2020: they were never active after the last CD. I suppose they ended in 2012.

ENKLAVA (1994)

Enklava was a very short-lived raw hardcore Punk band, playing an Italian style Hardcore with lyrics in italian. They recorded just a demo, then each member continued in other bands.

VISOKI NAPON (1979-1981)

Made mostly by the future The Spoons members, Visoki napon was a Punk `n` Roll band which played just for two years, but never made more than a demo tape. However, KUD Idijoti later covered their song Narkoman (called Narkofan), while Momak Ti Si Lud was a cover of Problemi, later covered again by KUD Idijoti.

2CELLOS (2011-2019)

The worldwide succesful violoncello duet 2CELLOS comes partly from Pula. While Luka Sulic (the guy with the shorter hair on the pic) is born in Maribor by croatian father and slovenian mother, Stjepan Hauser (obviously the other guy on the pic) is from Pula, representing our city in a very distinctive way.
There is almost nothing you don`t know about them, from their accidental beginning on Youtube, until the world tour with Elton John, by his own invitation.
2Cellos presented the city of Pula in their video for the GNR cover "Welcome To The Jungle", recorded completely in Pula, as well as the video for the new "The Trooper" Iron Maiden`s cover.
Update 2020: after the last album, the duo part ways, they never proclaimed the end, but never played together ever since. I suppose they ended in 2019.
