OVO JE PULA, NE RIJEKA (PULA-LONDON-TEHERAN) - COMPILATION CASSETTE 1988

This is a great compilation tape compiled by one of the most active guy of the Pula`s underground scene in the 80s, Djanfranko Martincic-Geza. On this tape there are six bands from Pula, the hottest Garage-Alternative-Punk-Rock bands of that moment, each band featured with three songs. All the bands are awesome, two of which continued their carreers on vinyl releases (you realised I am talking about Messerschmitt and The Spoons).
The title of the tape have a nice story behind; the first part is an adaptation of the title of the cult Punk-Hardcore compilation "This Is Boston, Not L.A." pointing out the rivalry between Pula and Rijeka.
The second part is an obvious mockering of the title of an LP compilation of bands from Rijeka, which was entitled "Rijeka-Paris-Texas". The second title of our compilation is invented by Miro Kusacic from Messerschmitt during their first ever live performance at the Rijeka`s Gitarijada "Rock Istre i Kvarnera 1988", where bands of the Istrian and Kvarner regions were competing. The promoter did an unexcusable mistake, and that was to put all the bands from Pula (and there were 5 bands) to play in broad daylight, from 5PM, in front of no audience, except for members from other Pula bands. That pissed all of us pretty much, and Miro during their (Messerschmitt`s) performance announced the bands from Pula as part of the project entitled "Pula-London-Teheran" (the moment is audio-documented).
A moment with an epicness undescribable with words.

PS: endless thanx to my mate Nenad Crnac-Chrle on the original cassette !!
