I am alive!!

Yes, I know, I am really sorry, I told you I will be on with the blog again, and then disappeared completely for more than a year...

Well, partly I was lazy, partly busy and lately I lost the login e-mail and password.. I completely forgot the login data, and finally I found it!! So I am back again, this time I will try to go on with this worthy blog and I can already announce I got some very interesting things you will like!!

In the next few posts I will present few new or relatively new bands from Pula, there will be probably not much things to say about them, but they must be spotted right now!

One of the momentarily most active bands from Pula is Dropthehammer, a young Death Metal band founded in 2014.

DESINENCE MORTIFICATION (1993-2015)

Desinence Mortification is one of the oldest grindcore bands of Croatia, with a lot of line up changes and even more releases, official or unofficial. Any time they changed line up, they were extremely fast in regenerating and were very active all the years of their existence. Unfortunately, in 2015, due to personal issues of some members, the band disbanded. It is not excluded a return, but momentarily it is a thing put to sleep.

The stuff I will put here is put completely unchronologically, as they have so much stuff hard to put here in a right order. (finally I managed it by order somehow ...)

Few Unknown Bands..

The following bands are bands I have no idea nor infos about, except for those recordings which may be useful or interesting to you. However, these bands were also part of the Pula Rock scene, so have to be at least mentioned. F.GUN plays some dark early Cure-ish New Wave, PESTILENCE 23 was a project that never became a real band (I was present on this rehearsal) and playing a kind of noisy Thrash Metal, CMARNA PRHUT is another project from the guys from Monte Paradiso, this is an acoustic "rehearsal" (more a recording of having fun) and the kind of music is.. well, I don`t know, but actually nothing serious. Finally, KLAPA SRDELICE was also a one-off project that played a rather controversial gig on a guitar contest in 1988, the song is a "cover" of Black Dog/Stairway to heaven by Led Zeppelin, of course, not even close to the original.This is their only recording saved from a radio show. 

And obviously, no videos of anything here,,,

FAULT - THROUGH YOUR EYES

KUD IDIJOTI (part 4) - BOOTLEGS (1989-1994)

So, we came now to the final part of the very rich KUD Idijoti`s audiography, the bootlegs. It is of course a part of their audiography that may be updated (even if Sale announced that there are some unreleased recordings Tusta made before his premature death).

Most of the bootlegs are from concerts played on their Euro tours.

MANIG (2000-??)

Manig is a drum`n`bass project started back in 2000,made of ex members of Dusty Miller and Dark Busters (not sure for this last one). They claim that it is hard to describe exactly their music, as they adapt their playing to the place where they play. The project released a CD album in 2001. They never officially split-up so it is hard also to define the lenght of their existence.

OLTAR (1997-1999)

Finally!, After more than four months or so, here I am back!! Let`s continue with bands from Pula, I will probably post few bands one after another in a brief period so check out them all!!

Oltar was a Rock band formed in 1997, from ex-Distorzija members. They played a lot of live shows and recorded a demo on a four-track recorder on May 22nd 1998. After a brief period of activity, they ended in 1999.

SCIKE (2007-)

Scike is a very original band that connects istrian traditional music with a lot of other musical styles, including Reggae, Jazz, Rock and even Heavy Metal. In this concept more than welcome is the use of traditional istrian instruments such as mih, sopile, bajs, triestine accordeon and others. They released a perfectly produced album in 2013, and continuing in creating exciting music.
