ZGOBECENA SHAGOMA (2013-)

Zgobecena Shagoma is a completely new project/band featuring two legends of the Pula scene, Dario "Rio" Kroznjak (here as Otokar Revolucionar) from a hundred bands (or close) and Silvio "Kume" Belusic (here as Oton Pesnik) from Fazana (a beatutiful city near Pula), a great musician active in the 80s, and now back with this weird experimental project. They like to call their musical style "Acid Rock/Cannibal Jazz", whatever that may mean. And very important to mention, they put the focus on 100% spontaneous creativity and 0% rehearsing.
Recently they released their first CD album which is a beautiful mixture of sounds, rhythms and psychedelic atmospheres.

IN MEMORIAM : BRANKO ČRNAC - TUSTA (06.10.1955. - 14.10.2012.)

Branko Crnac nicknamed Tusta was the frontman of the most popular Yugoslav/Croatian Punk band of the end of the 80s/beginning of the 90s, KUD IDIJOTI.
Tusta joined KUD Idijoti soon after the beginnings (the band was formed on February 2nd 1981.), after the band changed few guys on the vocalist position.
After he joined, he became the charismatic frontman by which the band would be recognised everywhere. Tusta was also a member of the working class, as he never quits his job, not even when the band reached the peak of their popularity.
He was also a true anti-fascist.
In 2011., Tusta was diagnosed with lung/throat cancer. The band stopped with their activities, waiting for Tusta to recover from the disease.
It never happened.
Many humanitarian concerts were held to raise funds for helping Tusta`s cancer treatment.

Branko Crnac - Tusta died October 14th 2012.

Few days later, the band`s guitarist Sale Veruda announced that KUD Idijoti cease to exist.

In 2014., the city of Pula decided that a stairway near the club "Uljanik" will be called by Branko Crnac - Tusta.

ROSTIGLIO feat. ELUJ (2009)

ROSTIGLIO is one of the project invented by the hyperactive Franci Blaskovic, but this time joined by the also hyperactive musician/producer ELUJ. Franci only sang, and Eluj (Jule) wrote and recorded the whole material. The weird combination recorded three albums during 2009, and that was it. As Rostiglio is one of Franci`s projects invented after he ended the Gori Ussi Winnetou activity, these albums are his 64th, 65th and 66th albums.
PS: As for the name of the band, it has roots in a small place near Vizinada on the old road from Pula to Trieste, there was a restaurant on which was written Rostiglio, which was a completely invented and dramatically mispelled word between italian and croatian language, wrongly written in both languages and meaning actually nothing.

ASHEN DIVINITY (2010-2016)

This young and relatively new band is formed by ex members of Infernal Tenebra. Through the years, they got few members changes, and finally ended as a five-piece. The metal style they played changed also, from the Gothic-Black beginnings, to Death-Thrash they play now. In the beginning of 2014. the band released their first studio material as demo, recently available on a self-release CD.
Update 2020: disbanded in 2016.

DELTA BLUES GANG (2012-2016)

Probably the best European Delta Blues band (and I am not exaggerating!!), Delta Blues Gang comes out from the ashes of Crossroads, the band that brothers Kajtez used to lead through the 90s. DBG now settled the line-up with the new awesome female singer Elizabeta. DBG are winners of the 4th Croatian Blues Challenge 2012 and semifinalist of the Memphis 29th International Blues Challenge. Enough said. DBG lately signed for the croatian Spona Records label. Definitely one of the most succesful bands coming out from Pula.
Update 2020: not active since 2016.

AUDIO NITKOVS (2010-2015)

Audio Nitkovs is, by their words, a project that never actually existed, as they never had one single rehearsal, everything you hear is composed and recorded directly in the studio ( Ja Sam Gluh studio). The band/project`s  consists of members of Bolesno Grinje and Barrakuda, with a little help from members of FOB and Sake. All in all, a great CD.
Update 2020: nothing from the project since 2015.

KUD IDIJOTI (part 2 - the EPs 1987-1996) (1981-2012)

KUD IDIJOTI were not only one of the greatest bands in the history of Pula`s Rock scene, but undoubtly one of the best Punk bands from this part of the world. Formed February 2nd 1982, the band spanned over three decades, changed the line-up just two times (not counting the pre-recordings years) and left a huge and important mark in the Rock music of the Balkans (and wider). Their opus is so huge that I will divide it into four parts: the demos/live cassettes, the EPs, the official releases and the bootlegs.
The part 2 includes four EPs released between 1987 and 1996. The first three were released for their first independent label Slovenija before the first album, and the last EP was self-released for Veruda Records, guitarist Sale`s label.

BENDOVER (a.k.a. MAKE ROOM FOR JESUS) (2008-2012)

Bendover started as a three-piece band, with introducing very soon two more members. They sing in croatian language, and describe their music as a mixture of Rock, Funk, Ska and Reggae. So far they recorded two demos and are known also under the name Make Room For Jesus.
Update 2020: nothing from them since 2012.

KAMEJE (1994-2000)

Kameje started playing in 1994, and here is their only official demo tape, recorded at "Ja sam gluh" studio by Jule (B.Grinje), bringing you a mix of Rock, Pop with slight jazzy and funk influences. Played few dozens of gigs through their existence, and finally disbanded in 2000.
