The story of Rock`n`Roll made in Pula (and Istria)

This is a blog where you will find music from one of the richest rock-scene from Croatia, the city of PULA rock-scene.There will be some Istrian music too, as Istria is the region of Croatia to which Pula belongs to.You will find here how good and different was the Pula scene, with some of the bands recognised worldwide.

PS:All the infos about the bands are approximative, and will be changed with every useful info I get from the members of the bands!

PPS: Please notice that the NON-HIGHLIGHTED name of a certain release is a part of band`s audiography, but not available for download, for not having the permission or for respecting the authors rights. Or, of course, not yet in my possession.

KUD IDIJOTI (part 4) - BOOTLEGS (1989-1994)

So, we came now to the final part of the very rich KUD Idijoti`s audiography, the bootlegs. It is of course a part of their audiography that may be updated (even if Sale announced that there are some unreleased recordings Tusta made before his premature death).
Most of the bootlegs are from concerts played on their Euro tours.
I must thank the blog "I`ve made you a tape" for all these bootlegs, as well as for the pic up here.

KUD IDIJOTI part 3 - OFFICIAL ALBUMS (1987-2001)

Line up 1 - LtR - Tusta, Ptica, Dr.Fric, Sale Veruda

Line up 2 - LtR - Sale Veruda, Dejo, Tusta, Bucolini

Here is the part 3 (of 4) of the huge KUD IDIJOTI discography collection. As you may previously know, the band had 2 line-ups. The last line-up released just the last album, all the rest is recorded by the first and more known line up.
Among the album discography there is one EP compilation. The "Bolivia R`n`R" compilation (the band`s first LP ever) contains few demo tracks added.
One more thing in the album discography collection is the "Omladina 1987" material (on video here!), which is actually just the KUD Idijoti (live) stuff from a compilation LP, but I put it here because it is their first appearance on a vinyl album (I remember that this was very important to Sale Veruda, who was and still is a vinyl record fan).
The last three albums are major label releases, so not downloadable.

KUD IDIJOTI (part 2 - the EPs 1987-1996) (1981-2012)

KUD IDIJOTI were not only one of the greatest bands in the history of Pula`s Rock scene, but undoubtly one of the best Punk bands from this part of the world. Formed February 2nd 1982, the band spanned over three decades, changed the line-up just two times (not counting the pre-recordings years) and left a huge and important mark in the Rock music of the Balkans (and wider). Their opus is so huge that I will divide it into four parts: the demos/live cassettes, the EPs, the official releases and the bootlegs.
The part 2 includes four EPs released between 1987 and 1996. The first three were released for their first independent label Slovenija before the first album, and the last EP was self-released for Veruda Records, guitarist Sale`s label.

KUD IDIJOTI (part 1 - the demos/live cassetes 1981-1986) (1981-2012)

KUD IDIJOTI were not only one of the greatest bands in the history of Pula`s Rock scene, but undoubtly one of the best Punk bands from this part of the world. Formed February 2nd 1982, the band spanned over three decades, changed the line-up just two times (not counting the pre-recordings years) and left a huge and important mark in the Rock music of the Balkans (and wider). Their opus is so huge that I will divide it into four parts: the demos/live cassettes, the EPs, the official releases and the bootlegs.
In the first years between 1982 and the first EP vinyl in 1986, the band recorded four demos and released two live cassettes+one EP cassette (one live is released later in 1988, and the EP cassette is a cassette released in 1989 by the label, but without the permission by the band).
The most known line-up of the band became stable from 1983. and lasted until 1999.

ISTARSKI ROCK 1986 - compilation cassette 1986

This is a very rare cassette compilation (released only in 200 copies!!) featuring three bands from Pula and one from Pazin (the so-called istrian capital town),
The band from Pazin is called HTB which featured a members which will later play in The Spoons. While for the Pula bands, there are CASTEL (unknown to me), then a very interesting band SUMSKI PJEVACI GORTANOVE UVALE featuring the 90s Pula`s most succesful underground producers Sandro Perocevic and Goran Curic-Cotka. And finally, one of the biggest bands that ever emerged from Pula, the legendary KUD IDIJOTI.
A great document.
